WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER:
For some, their wedding day is the first time they will be in front of a professional photographer's camera lens. For this reason I highly recommend doing an Engagement Session with your photographer!!  This can be intimidating, especially if you're camera shy or THINK you are awkward in photographs. Trust that you are in good hands. Most couples are not models and need a bit of direction while being photographed to feel at ease and make great photos. You may be asked to stand a certain way, act out a certain gesture, and walk together holding hands. Expect to hear things like "drop your chin just a touch", "lean that shoulder towards me", and for the ladies especially, "pop the hip!". One thing to remember is "feels weird, looks great!". I promise to make this as comfortable and fun as possible. 

I am a very laid back, easy-going person and prefer to take a relaxed and fun approach to photographing my clients and their families. (What's the point in doing something if you can't have fun, right?!) All of my clients, children included, should have fun during their session! We'll take time to talk, relax, and feel comfortable before we ever get started with pictures. We will do lots of different poses, backgrounds, and walk around our location to get new ideas. I'm always on the lookout for the best light! I’m also happy to accommodate any fun posing ideas you have, or any props you’d like to use. The more relaxed you are, the more your pictures will be a true representation of you!  I'll take both candid and posed pictures, and guide you the whole time to avoid "fake" or "forced" smiles, so your images are more natural. For families with children, as a mom I understand that little ones often need more time to warm up to a stranger. And that's okay!! I'm a kid at heart and enjoy time on the swings, or searching for a bug in a bush. We'll find a way to help them warm up to me. We can schedule the session in the comfort of your own home, or an outdoor location of your choosing. I can help you pick a place, if you'd like!  Once the location is picked, we'll pick the day and time convenient to you and then the fun begins..
